In Alberta, CMMOTA is currently active in the Transitional Council for the College of Massage Therapists of Alberta (TC-CMTA) and is an active participant in the Alberta Working Group for the Regulation of Massage Therapy. Saskatchewan Regulation of Massage Therapists Updates

In Saskatchewan, CMMOTA is currently active in the Saskatchewan Working Group. On the recommendation of the government, the Saskatchewan College of Massage Therapy (SCMT) Working Group was formed to support regulation. Group members include: Canadian Massage and Manual Osteopathic Therapists Association (CMMOTA) Massage Therapist Association of Saskatchewan (MTAS) Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC) The Working Group is creating a uniform and fair process for the profession as they transition into regulation. Nova Scotia Regulation of Massage Therapists Updates

In Nova Scotia, the Canadian Massage and Manual Osteopathic Therapists Association (CMMOTA) is actively collaborating with the Massage Therapists’ Association of Nova Scotia (MTANS) and the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC) to advance the regulation of massage therapists. This coalition is working closely with the Provincial Government to facilitate the progression of massage therapy regulation under the Regulated Health Professions Act. Manitoba Regulation of Massage Therapists Updates

Current Status of Massage Therapy Regulation in Manitoba Massage therapy has been identified for establishment as a regulated health profession under Manitoba's Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA). However, in November 2022, CMMOTA was informed that the regulation of massage therapy will only proceed after the transition of other health professions to the new RHPA framework.
