Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques (MAT) is a bodywork system developed by Erik Dalton from his extensive training in Rolfing, osteopathy, and neurology. MAT identifies and corrects dysfunctional, neurologically-driven strain patters using the reflexive relationships of muscles, ligaments, and joints. Through unique muscle-balancing and spindle-stim techniques, joint-stretching maneuvers, nerve gliding, and comprehensive region-specific routines, MAT “changes the brain’s mind about pain.” MAT corrects joint fixations with in-scope manual methods to reduce protective muscle spasms and promote pain-free movement.
This two-day workshop (16 NCBTMB-approved CE hours) offers innovative approaches to treating the Foot and ankle dysfunction, SI joint, and common lumbar spine issues as well as Headaches, neck pain and thoracic spine issues. This workshop also uniquely examines adapting techniques in a prone, supine and sidelying position These are not like the techniques you learned in massage school! Be prepared for manual innovations that produce outstanding results even for clients with long-standing chronic conditions.
Nate Fay has been an LMT for nearly 20 years. He is the owner of Hazardville Wellness, a multi-practitioner wellness center in Connecticut. He loves working with clients using the ART of MAT to help them get better faster. Nathan is a Master Myoskeletal Therapist (MMT)®, MAT educator and holds a Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Therapy.
