This two-day advanced course provides Registered Massage Therapists with a clear, ethical, and scope-appropriate framework for trauma-informed practice. This course equips RMTs with the communication skills, consent practices, and treatment adaptations required to safely and effectively provide massage therapy to individuals who have experienced trauma.

With a strong emphasis on medical trauma, as well as other trauma contexts that may impact access to care, therapists will learn how trauma histories can influence patient comfort, trust, and treatment tolerance. Through case-based learning, applied discussion, and hands-on practice, participants will gain confidence in adapting massage therapy treatments while maintaining professional boundaries, ethical standards, and regulated scope of practice.
