Membership Handbook Update – March 12, 2026 Edition

Below we have outlined changes and additions or deletions to our policy handbook since the January 28, 2026 Edition. All of the changes in these policies are policy amendments which were approved at the March 12, 2026 Board of Directors Meeting. All Policy changes contained within this edition of the member handbook will come into effect April 1, 2026.

The Board has made amendments to the following policies:

• Member Examination or Association Books Records and Documents Policy
  • Updated language under item 7 to reflect changes in privacy legislation.
• Membership Certificate Policy
  • Added items 2, 4, and 5 for further clarification regarding the switch to digital membership certificates.
• Membership Certificate Seals Policy
  • Revised entire document for further clarification regarding the switch to digital certificates and the continued availability of membership seals for legacy certificates issued prior to December 31, 2025.

The Board has made amendments to the following appendices:

• Appendix 2 – Board of Directors Remuneration and Expense Reimbursement Schedule
  • Updated the Mileage Rate to reflect the CRA established rate for 2026

The Executive Director has adopted these new appendices or made amendments to the following appendices:

• Appendix 6 – CMMOTA Complaint Form
  • Added language to the complaint form regarding the need for a complainant to confirm that the witness has agreed to provide information regarding the complaint if contacted through the investigation process.
• Appendix 19 – Modalities List for Massage Therapists
  • Added Concussion Care, Infant Craniosacral, and Infant Visceral Manipulation to Section 4 Massage Therapy Additional Massage Modalites.
• Appendix 34 – Modalities List for Manual Osteopathic Therapists
  • Added Concussion Care, Infant Craniosacral, and Infant Visceral Manipulation to Section 3 Manual Osteopathic Therapy Additional Modalities
