Over the last couple of months if you have been surfing Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn you have likely noticed an image like this pop up on your screen?
Did you know that as an Association we actively promote the CMMOTA Find-A-Therapist page? We do – in fact in the first 9 months of 2024 more than 36000 people on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn have viewed a post like this.
The question is – can those who then click through to the website find your information? The answer is “that depends”. We know that there are some members that want their business information kept private – and we respect that. But for those that want to be able to be found by potential clients there is a very simple step that you need to take on your CMMOTA membership profile, you need to make sure that you have added your business information. Once this information is input into your profile it becomes searchable on the Find-A-Therapist page. If you work out of your home or through mobile massage and do not want your home address listed, simply just list your City/Town and Province without your street address.
Another benefit of having your business information listed on your membership profile is that it is then shared to health insurance companies. We send weekly/bi-weekly lists to the insurance companies which helps them when a receipt your client submits comes up to be processed. If you list your business information in your profile it will be sent with your name for a quicker response time. You can also list a Primary business as well if you work at multiple locations, all of which can be input into your profile. If you do not wish to have your business information listed on Find-A-Therapist but would like your business information sent to the insurance company, just click “hide” when entering your business information into your profile.
