Clinical Buccal Massage: Specialized Intraoral Techniques for Jaw and Facial Dysfunction: 4 CEC’s Early Bird Member Price: $149, Early Bird Non-Member Price: $199 Saturday, September 20, 2025 Instructed by Heather Kew with Pure Lotus Massage Therapeutics Time – 8:00am – 12:00pm.

In this 4-hour practical course, participants will explore advanced intraoral massage techniques specifically designed to address jaw pain, facial tension, and TMJ dysfunction. You’ll learn precise buccal methods to release tight facial muscles, alleviate chronic discomfort, and enhance functional mobility in your clients. Emphasis will be placed on safe and effective intraoral protocols, patient comfort, clinical integration, and contraindications. Expand your clinical toolkit and set your practice apart by mastering these transformative buccal massage techniques.

Heather Kew is a Registered Massage Therapist, Medical Aesthetician, and Clinic Owner with more than 20 years of experience in the Health and Wellness and Spa industries. Since completing her Massage training in 2005 and her Advanced Medical Aesthetics training in 2009, she has been treating clients in both clinical and spa environments, including managing internationally recognized Spas in Canada.

Heather is extremely passionate about moving Massage Therapy forward through education and advocacy and has been involved as the President of the Massage Therapists Association of Alberta (Past), the Secretary of the Transitional Council of the College of Massage Therapists of Alberta (Past), a board member of the Canadian Massage Therapists Alliance (Past), and a Massage Therapy representative on the Motor Vehicle Collision Task Force for Alberta.

Heather currently teaches manual therapists across North America how to confidently, effectively, and safely treat with advanced techniques that will save their hands and extend their careers. Heather can be found baking a mean batch of chocolate chip cookies with her two kids when she is not teaching or treating clients.

This dynamic 4-hour course takes cupping therapy to a new therapeutic level by integrating active and passive movements alongside rehabilitative exercises. Participants will learn to effectively combine cupping with functional movement patterns, enhancing therapeutic outcomes for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. Through interactive demonstrations and practical application, you’ll gain the skills to address pain, improve mobility, and support rehabilitation and injury prevention in your practice.

Upon Completion the Participants will have gained the following:

Dawn graduated from the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy (OVCMT) in 1999 and became a BC Registered Massage Therapist the same year. Her 26-year career as an RMT has included instructing massage therapy, treating patients of all ages, participating as a Surveyor for the Canadian Massage Therapy Council for Accreditation, and offering professional Continuing Education Credits to fellow colleagues.

Recently Dawn graduated from the two-year Body Intelligence Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Program and is the owner of Opal Therapeutics Clinic where treatments include:

Fantasyland Hotel is pleased to offer Canadian Massage & Manual Osteopathic Therapist Assn an “open block”. Rooms are available as part of the hotel’s general inventory, on a first-come first-serve basis, subject to availability.

The rate for Fantasyland Hotel for your group is $229.00 (Fri/Sat) ** per night for a Superior Room, plus 4% provincial room tax and 5% GST. Rates are based on single or double occupancy. Triple and quadruple accommodations are only available in certain room types. The additional cost over double occupancy is $20.00 per person, per day. The Fantasyland Hotel allows a maximum of four (4) adults per guestroom, where more than two (2) guests are allowed. Children under the age of 18 years, sharing a room with their parent(s), stay at no charge. All other room types are subject to an upgrade fee.
