Below we have outlined changes and additions or deletions to our policy handbook since the May 28, 2026 Edition. All of the changes in these policies are policy amendments which were approved at the July 9, 2026 Board of Directors Meeting. All Policy changes contained within this edition of the member handbook will come into effect July 10, 2026.
The Board has made amendments to the following policies:
- Establishment of a Disciplinary Committee Policy
- Added item 4.e. which now allows Current Disciplinary Committee members to be re-appointed without application by mutual agreement between the Member and Board of Directors, and clarifies that re-appointment should occur annually at the last BOD meeting of each calendar year.
- Changed the language in item 6.a.i. from one year from date of appointment to until December 31 of the year for which they are appointed. This reduces the tracking for Administration regarding when a person’s term on the committee ends.
- Changed language in item 7.a. regarding credits and completion of mandatory training.
- Changed Item 8 from “Other Requirements” to “Mandatory Training Requirements.
- Updated and Added Language to Item 8.a. regarding completion of mandatory onboarding and initial training now to be completed within 30 days of appointment to the committee and added language regarding eligibility for CEC.
- Changed language in 8.b. for better understanding
- Added item 8.d. regarding mandatory training for those re-appointed to the committee for greater clarification.
- Membership Requirement – Continuing Education Credits Policy
- Updated Item 13.g.i. by increasing the number of credits granted to 1 credit per hour to a max of 6 credits per event and 18 credits per cycle when volunteering on behalf of CMMOTA at a CMMOTA Event. This brings this in line with other volunteering activities for which members can receive credits.
The Board has made amendments to the following Appendix:
- Appendix 2 – Board of Directors Remuneration and Expense Reimbursement Schedule
- Decreased the annual honorarium for the Treasurer position from $400 to $200. This reflects a change in the responsibilities of the Treasurer position.
