Somatic Exercise Teacher Training – Module 1

NMP Somatics™ (Neuromuscular Patterning) is a professional somatic movement education training for Registered Massage Therapists and bodywork professionals. Module 1 introduces the foundations of Hanna Somatic Education, including Sensory-Motor Amnesia, pandiculation, and gentle neuromuscular retraining through slow, client-led movement.

Participants learn how chronic tension, posture, and movement limitations may be shaped by habituated neuromuscular patterns, and how somatic exercise can support awareness, self-care, and client education within scope of practice.

Modules 2 and 3 follow shortly after for those continuing in the training pathway, expanding into additional movement patterns, teaching skills, guided practice, and deeper integration of somatic exercise principles.
