The rmtPRO Facial Massage course was written specifically to adhere to the RMT scope of practice within Canada. The first lecture is always scope of practice in which we learn the differences between an esthetician “facial” and a professional RMT Facial Massage. In this 3 day course learn the assessment of the soft tissue and joints of the face, neck, and upper chest. Apply therapeutic massage techniques (Yes this includes therapeutic Buccal Technique) for the treatment and prevention of physical dysfunction and pain of the soft tissues and joints including appropriate post surgical scar tissue work, nerve impingement, and how to navigate massage when there has been procedures like neuromodulators, facial implants, and “fillers” etc… Learn how to develop, maintain, rehabilitate, or augment the functioning of the tissue and relieve pain in these areas. Master the techniques you need to meet your clients goals for treatment through proper assessment and by applying and tailoring your new knowledge to your unique practice situation. Dive into the biochemistry of appropriate massage mediums for facial massage, how to adapt any RMT room for facial massage treatment, and how to ethical grow a solid second stream of retail income if you so choose.
