In this workshop, participants will delve into contemporary evidence-based frameworks surrounding persistent pain focusing specifically on headaches, migraines and TMJ dysfunctions. Participants will gain a greater understanding of diverse pain and dysfunction presentations in these areas including how to differentiate between articular disc, muscular or neurological involvement. This includes cofactors such as posture, bruxism and dental issues.
Best practices for assessment and treatment strategies will be emphasized, thereby enhancing treatment efficacy and reducing practitioner stress. Attendees will learn to discern the intricate interplay between tissue health, biomechanics, and psychosocial factors in the context of pain, exercise, and rehabilitation. Moreover, participants will develop the proficiency to adapt their hands on skills to this sensitive area while learning movement skills to tailor treatments, ultimately optimizing patient outcomes. By the end attendees will be equipped to impart invaluable knowledge, treatment strategies and the ability to teach movement modifications for self-management and exercise to their clients.
