Somatic movement therapy is a technique for neuromuscular re-education that helps you relax and release your muscles, enabling you to restore proper muscle function. These movements are gentle and deliberate, aiming to enhance sensory awareness for improved coordination between the brain and muscles. By consciously performing these exercises and focusing on the internal experience rather than the external appearance, you can enhance body awareness significantly.

Through a process of contracting, releasing, elongating, and relaxing muscles gradually, you can train your body to move efficiently and without pain. Rooted in the teachings of Thomas Hanna, these exercises have the potential to alter unproductive muscle patterns. Learn how to restore full nervous system control of both your muscles and movements. Professional development and continuing education credits!
