Muscle Release’s DEEP Tissue Hot/ Cold Stone Course

This course is 15.5 Primary Credits.

Stones we teach with are: Basalt, Marble, Jade, and himalayan salt stone.

We have created a deep tissue technique that is unique to the massage therapy field and is based on research. We have combined hot stones with trigger point therapy and movement release. The Hot and Cold stones will efficiently release muscles with less effort from you (the therapist). Hot stones bring blood into a localized area, by opening the blood vessels we are supplying the muscles with more nutrients, oxygen, and proteins to promote faster healing, decrease adhesions, increase ROM, and decrease clients parasympathetic response. There are many more benefits of this technique that we go over in detail adjacent to recent research in the sports medicine field.

Our aim with this course is to provide an easy way to use the benefits of heat and cold, save your hands, and have longer lasting effects for the patient. We are bringing a scientific based approach to massage therapy.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understanding depth/ techniques with rocks as a tool
  • Understanding how to effectively release muscles
