Please see below an important announcement from Alberta Health Services:
are working hard on the final adjustments to what needs to be provided
when your members attend their appointment. In the interim, here are
some key messages you may wish to
share with your members:
care workers and associated staff who work in acute or community care
settings are included in Phase 2C. These workers should be providing
in-person direct patient care or support (such as reception
or security). If you are not providing direct patient care, you
may not be eligible under this phase of the COVID-19 vaccine program.
Please review your eligibility through the Alberta COVID-19 webpage on
care workers that are eligible include those under the Health
Professions Act as well as those part of professional associations like
therapists along with all health care workers will be able to book
appointments online through Alberta Health Services, by calling 8-1-1
or a pharmacy. Please check the Alberta Blue Cross website
here or Alberta Health Services for more information on how to book an appointment.
