Acupressure and Meridian Massage

May 31, 2021 - July 1, 2021
$324 + GST.00 | 5 credits

Course Description

Acupressure is so much more than simply pressing on a point.  It is a comprehensive system for treating the body as a holistic system. It all starts with asking the right questions.  In this course, we will review the most important questions to ask during an assessment and why we ask them. Then comes treatment.  Going through the body, region by region, you will learn the exact Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) acu-points to stimulate in the treatment of many forms of pain. You will learn points on the leg to help treat shoulder pain, and points on the hand to help treat headaches and neck pain! Homecare is an essential part of any form of therapy, and in Acupressure and Meridian Massage, you will learn homecare techniques for every region of the body, how to address chronic postural dysfunctions, and the secret to guaranteed results: proper goal setting. As an added bonus, we will review a self-acupressure treatment that can be used to help reduce stress, lower anxiety and fall asleep faster.

Presented by experienced practioner and post-secondary educator, Dr. Jess Reynolds, TCMD, this course includes over 10 hours of high-quality, on-demand videos (including demonstrations), and over 30 downloadable resources. One of the best parts about studying online with Academy of Integrative Medicine (AIM) is that our courses have no scheduled start date, and no scheeduled end date – they are always available, on demand! Your Certificate of Completion will be stamped for whatever day you finish watching all of the online videos, and complete all of the online quizzes.
